I like to make stuff
When I was in 9th grade, a girl I had a crush on told me to audition for the school play and I’ve never looked back. Thanks Lindsay Kerr! After getting my BFA in Theater from UCSB, I moved back home to Los Angeles and joined The Actors’ Gang Theater Company. In my 10 years at The Actors’ Gang, I performed in dozens of productions; most recently starring opposite Tim Robbins in George Orwell’s 1984. I had the rare opportunity to tour the world playing Lysander in the Gang’s long running production of Midsummer Night’s Dream as well as originating the role of Mr. Pantalone in Tim Robbins’ original play Harlequino: On To Freedom.
I also directed multiple shows at The Actors’ Gang including the award winning production of Accidental Death of an Anarchist, the original musical Captain Greedy’s Carnival, as well as the hit holiday variety show: The Queen Family’s Very Special Holiday Special. During the summer, I adapted, directed and performed in the Gang’s family favorite Shakespeare in the Park productions of Toy Story Tempest, Much Ado About The Avengers and Mighty Morphing Midsummer Night’s Dream.
Currently, I have two short plays performing in the finals of the Brisk Festival April 30th and May 1st! Wish me luck!
I started young; booking my first role in a movie when I was 9 years old. It was the 1992 straight to home video classic “Only You”…no, not the “Only You” starring Robert Downey Jr. and Marisa Tomei, the other “Only You” starring Helen Hunt and Andrew McCarthy. I starred in the award winning short film For The Love Of Barb which took home best of the northwest at the 2020 BendFilm Festival. You may also recognize me from the two times I appeared on HBO’s The Brink or from one of my three separate Toyota commercials…but probably not. Most recently, I had my first on camera sex scene in a comedy feature entitled My Divorce Party. It was pretty weird.
I’ve been creating short form digital content since the MySpace days. If you were to add up the views from all the videos I’ve appeared in it would be well over 100 million. In 2012, I co-founded Collab, a digital creator studio and multi-platform network helping talented young creators develop their skills, grow their audience and win at life. You can find out more about Collab at Collab.inc
I’m the host and executive producer of The #Storytime Podcast produced by iHeart Radio. I was recently recognized as a Webby Award Honoree in the category of Best Host as well as a W3 silver award winner for best podcast and best host. Hit me up if you’d like to share a story on the pod!
I was a lead teacher at The Actors’ Gang Theater for 6 years, teaching their unique style of performance to hundreds of actors. I specialize in ensemble building, exploring emotional depth with sincerity, Commedia Del Arte, movement, mask work and improv. Most recently, I taught an acting for camera/audition technique class for up and coming digital creators. I’ve also had my fair share of working with kids as the the director at St. Mel’s Middle School from 2010-2012 as well as the artistic director of Class Act Musical Theater from 2008 through 2011.
